Accommodation to be vacated by 10am on day of departure - should you wish to leave a bit later, it may be possible to stay on for a few hours at an extra charge of R10 per hour if arranged with reception. Departing guests are welcome to spend the rest of the day in the Resort.

Animals can be DANGEROUS, please watch your children and do not walk behind or try to ride the Zebra's and horses.

ATM is available at The Oaks Superette

Bees can be dangerous if their hives are disturbed; please bring medication with you if you require it.

Bird watching lists are available from our Reception.

Bring and Braais (Barbeques) are held on Saturday evenings during busy weekends and holidays at the Boma. All guests are welcome.

Canoes are available for hire from Reception and the wooden rafts are free of charge. Guests are welcome to bring their own canoes.

Day Visitors a limited number of day visitors are accepted at a charge, it is advisable to make a pre-booking.

Dogs are allowed at an extra charge and owners are to keep them under control and clean up after them.

Firewood is available at The Oaks Superette.

Freezer Space is available for hire at The Oaks - read their notice board for details.

Laundrette coin operated machines are available at all three ablution blocks and a daily laundry service is available behind the ablution near the tennis courts.

Medical list of emergency numbers are displayed on the notice board at Reception.

Monkeys are to be discouraged and not fed.

Mountain Biking can be done using the hiking trails - enquire at the Adventure Centre for the latest information on dedicated bike trails. Please ensure that bicycles are locked up at night.

Newsletter for news concerning the resort and information about specials, local events and attractions in the area, please read our latest on line newsletter.

Petrol and Diesel are available through The Oaks Superette.

Reception Hours are from 8 - 5pm daily except Sundays and Public Holidays 8 - 4pm.

Shopping - The Oaks on-site shop has every essential for casual catering. Open daily, but closed for lunch between 1-2pm and open half day Sunday.

Tea is available for guests free of charge at 11am at the boma during busy weekends and holiday periods.

Telephones - both coin and card boxes are situated on the veranda of the Conference Room and along side The Oaks Superette. Cards are available from Reception.

Transport - Westline Aviation - Drakensberg - Our inhouse flight department can arrange Helicopter or Aeroplane charter flights into our airfield. The company has 2 helicopters permanently based at Dragon Peaks and a twin engined aeroplane.  083 652 7493  or brett@bergflying.co.za

BazBus - Sprinter Bus service aimed at the Backpacker's market, running between Johannesburg and Durban on Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays and between Durban and Johannesburg on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The bus stops in Winterton and we will collect passengers if organised before hand. BazBus' office number is +27(21)4392323. Greyhound Bus Service runs a daily luxury bus between Durban/Johannesburg/Durban which stops in Estcourt.

Valuables and Firearms may be left in our safe at Reception.

Waterproofs for children's beds can be obtained from the House Keeper if required.
